The 56th annual Antigua Charter Yacht Show, 4 to 10 December 2017 is in full swing, and Luxury Charter Group are there to inspect the luxury yachts occupying Nelson's Dockyard Marina in English Harbour, the Falmouth Harbour Marina and the Antigua Yacht Club Marina both located in Falmouth Harbour.
Over these five days, the world's leading charter brokers, including the team from Luxury Charter Group, are inspecting the full selection of motor yachts and sailing charter vessels on show – 75 in all – while on the sixth day, they can undertake the traditional 'Day Sail', a 'micro-charter' experience, cruising Antigua's stunning coastal waters and islands aboard a choice of some of the finest charter yachts in the Caribbean.
Antigua itself is one of the two major islands that make up the Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda and a popular setting off point for Caribbean charters. Set along English Harbour, restored Nelson's Dockyard, which Admiral Horatio Nelson made his base in the 1780s, comprises a marina and the Dockyard Museum.
For the charter guest, the region is a fascinating mix of natural wonders and onshore attractions.
Antigua has many beautiful beaches, native flora and fauna, and sophisticated nightlife, whereas Barbuda is more tranquil, boasting beaches with pink coral sands, colourful coral reefs and a profusion of marinelife to enchant divers and snorkelers.
Antigua Race Week, one of the world's biggest sailing events, is renowned for world-class racing and socialising and takes place towards the end of April-beginning of May each year.
At this year's Antigua Charter Yacht Show, Luxury Charter Group is looking forward to inspecting the diverse array of superyachts available in the Caribbean, meeting Captains, crews and managers, dining onboard and really immersing ourselves in the ambience, service and cuisine.
The highly-anticipated Concours de Chef, where onboard Chefs compete for the title and honour of creating a menu that most impresses the judges in presentation and taste.
Below are just a few of the charter yachts Luxury Charter Group will inspect, ensuring we can thoroughly recommend them to match our clients' concept of their ideal charter vacation.
